19  PC Setup Program 

Quick-start of programs

The QuickStart agent monitors removable media on the PC and responds if, for 
instance, a device or USB flash drive is connected to the PC. It lists all PC pro-
grams associated with the device found.
The user can decide which PC program should be started. This is done by high-
lighting the program in the list and then launching it by pressing the "Start" but-
ton. If there is only one program, it starts immediately.
Pressing the "Close" button switches the QuickStart agent to the background.

Adjustments

The "Settings" button can be used to change the following QuickStart agent op-
tions:
•

National language used by the QuickStart agent

•

Selection of programs that can be started by the QuickStart agent

•

Autostart of the QuickStart agent when starting the PC

QuickStart agent in the foreground or background

Left- or right-clicking on the icon in the Windows taskbar opens a selection list. 
Here, the user has the option of bringing the QuickStart agent to the foreground 
or background by selecting the relevant entry in the list.

If autostart is inactive, i.e. the symbol does not appear in the taskbar, the Quick-
Start agent can be started manually from the Windows Start menu. The Quick-
Start agent is located in the same program group as the JUMO PC setup 
program.

Ending the QuickStart agent

Selecting the entry "End" closes the QuickStart agent. It can be restarted from 
the Windows Start menu.
