7 Diagnosis
For diagnosis menu, the host system and the Scanner are connected. The diagnosis menu program is launched
on the host system and diagnoses the Scanner.
■ Diagnosis menu operation
Item Description
Logging Information Print Shows the information about the errors generated in the Scanner
on the monitor of the host system.
The error information can be also printed out.
Work Information Display Shows work information such as the printed sheet count.
This function allows you to directly enter and change work
information such as the printed sheet count.
Download Used for updating the control program (firmware) of the
Scanner.
Option Settings Shows the model name and the special order options of the
Scanner.
This function allows you to set up and change the model name
and the special order options of the Scanner.
Load / Store Device Unique
Information Loads and stores the device unique information of the Scanner.
This function is mainly used when you replace the Main PCB
assembly (CPS878).
■ Other maintenance menu
Following maintenance function is launched from each tool.
Item Description
Wavefrom Diagnosis Displays the sensor signal waveform from the CIS Unit
assembly (Front / Back)
If you find any abnormality in the scanned image, this
application can be used to display the signal waveform from the
image sensor and identity the unclean location.
