8.3.14 Replacing Drive Roller (M) (T1 - T4)
Caution on high temperature
•
The parts may become hot. Work after cooling them down enough.
(1) Remove the Top Cover, Main Cover (L) / (R), and Side Cover (L) / (R). See “8.1.1 How to remove or attach
the covers” .
(2) Remove the Input Tray. See “8.3.6 Replacing Input Tray” .
(3) Remove the Front Guide assembly and Lower Guide assembly. See “8.1.2 How to remove or attach the
guides” .
(4) Loosen the adjusting screws for the T1 motor and Main motor, remove the T1-2 belt, T2 belt, and Main belt.
See “9.1 Checking Tensions of Belts” .
(5) Remove 1 E-ring (TW005) fixing the Drive Roller (M) (T1), shift the Drive Roller (M) (T1) to the right,
remove the Drive Roller (M) (T1), and replace new one.
(6) Remove 1 E-ring (TW005) fixing the Drive Roller (M) (T2), shift the Drive Roller (M) (T2) to the right,
remove the Drive Roller (M) (T2), and replace new one.
In the same way, remove one E-ring (TW005) to fix the Drive Roller (M) (T3/T4), shift the Drive Roller (M)
(T3/T4) to the right, remove the Drive Roller (M) (T3/T4), and replace new ones.
(7) Attach using the above steps in reverse.
Note: Do not use removed E-rings when attaching. Use new ones.
(8) Check tensions of belts of T1 motor and Main motor. See “ 9.1 Checking Tension of Belts ” .
For the Drive Roller (M) (T1/T2), remove only the T1 Motor.
For the Drive Roller (M) (T3/T4), remove only the Main Motor.
