If you select ON for the "Photo" in the setup
window and interrupt a photo sensor with
paper or something, “0:Sheets exist” is
displayed.
If you select OFF for the "Photo" in the
setup window, the condition is the same as
when a photo sensor is interrupted with
paper, and “0:Sheets exist” is displayed.
If paper is in between sensors, the
light is interrupted and “0:Sheets
exist” is displayed.

If paper is not in between sensors,
the light is not interrupted and
“1:Sheets don't exist” is displayed

Open and then close the Scanner for the
check.

Move the Input Tray up to the scanning
position for the check.

If you already know the switch is broken, we
recommend you move the pick unit up and
down manually and check the level change.
