Scnanner Utility
Scanner Utility is an application tool used for utilizing and maintaining scanner.
Scan
ner Utility has six menu items as shown in the table below.
*1 : After you clean the image sensor unit, make sure you execute the Image Sensor Test. If the image sensor is
not clean and you scan sheets, the image may have vertical lines.
*2 : After you clean or replace ink cartridge, make sure you execute the Imprint Test. If you scan a sheet while
the ink cartridge is not ready for printing, numbering print is not possible.
*3 : After you replace a roller to a new one, make sure you reset the sheet count in the Sheet Counter Settings.
The count for the replacement warning for the roller starts when the sheet count is reset. Consequently, if
you do not reset the sheet count, replacement timing cannot be managed.
*4 : After you replace ink cartridge to a new one, make sure you reset the ink level in the Ink Cartridge Settings.
The count for ink level warning and ink cartridge replacement warning for the ink cartridge starts when ink
level is reset. Consequently, if you do not reset the ink level, replacement timing cannot be managed.

Image Sensor Test
Checks the contamination level of the image sensor unit.
This function determines whether the level of the contamination of image
sensor caused by being in use is acceptable or you need to clean the
sensor. The check result shows unclean locations in the window.

Imprint Test
Executes an Imprint Test to check that ink cartridge is ready for printing.
Executes the Imprint Test for both front and rear side.
The steps of cleaning rear ink cartridge can be displayed by clicking a
button.

Sheet Counter
Settings
Displays the sheet counts of consumable rollers and configures the
replacement warning parameters.
[Information display]
Checks the scanned sheet count and the last replacement date for each
roller.
When you reset the sheet count, the sheet count is reset to 0 and
replacement date is updated.
[Parameter settings]
Configures roller replacement sheet count limits.
Configures roller replacement warning timing.

Imprint Settings
Displays the information about consumable ribbon cassette and ink
cartridges and configures the warning parameters.
[Information display]
Checks the number of printed sheets for both front ribbon cassette and
rear ink cartridge, and checks ink level and the last replacement date for
rear ink cartridge.
When you reset ink level of rear cartridge, ink level is reset to 100% and
replacement date is updated.
[Parameter settings]
You can configure rear ink level warning timing and rear ink cartridge
replacement warning timing.

Power Save Mode
Settings
Displays the settings of the power save mode and configures transition
time.
Checks the current transition time.
Configures an integer value between 1 and 240 for transition time setting
in minutes.

USB Operation
Mode
Displays data transfer mode of USB I/F.
Hi-Speed/Full-Speed (USB2.0)
Super Speed (USB3.0)

Image Sensor Settings Sets sensitivity for judgment of contamination level of the image sensor
unit.
You can configure timing of white level reduction warning.
