Description: Check the movement of the CIS Unit assembly (Front) (Image sensor Front).
Level adjustment for the sensor is done on the white level reference label by moving the CIS Unit
assembly (Front). This enables reliable image scanning. If this operation does not work properly,
image density may get too light or large whiteout noise may be generated on the black area in
the background of the sheet.
Or, video level error may be generated. By using this operation, check
the movement of the CIS Unit assembly (Front), especially whether the CIS Unit assembly (Front) can
reach the white side. Remove the Main Cover (L) at the side of the device so that you can check the
movement of the CIS Unit assembly (Front).

Timing of its movement to the white side
The following list shows major timing of its
movement to the white side.
Except when the Scan Position check described
in this subsection is performed
・
When the first scan starts after the power on.
・
When the first scan starts after the Scanner
resumes from the sleep mode.
・
When the first scan starts after opening and
closing the Scanner is detected.
・
Once per about 15 minutes if the scan
continues in normal operation.
