2.3 Mechanical Unit

The Input Tray unit consists of a swing-type elevator with about 55 mm stroke.
The rotational motion of the Motor assembly (Input Tray) is converted to up and down motion. The Photo
Micro Sensor (F/L) is directly tied to the up and down motion of the Pick Roller and controls the feed level.

The feeder separator unit consists of the Separator Roller and Reverse Roller.
The Motor assembly (Pick) drives the Separator Roller intermittently, and subsequently drives the Pick Roller
intermittently through the idler gear.
The Reverse Roller is driven by the Motor assembly (Reverse). With the Thin Sheed Scanning setting, the Pick
Roller is raised up in a moment by the Motor assembly (Pick Release) to reduce a paper jam.

The feeder mechanism unit consists of the roller driver unit and the jam detection sensor.
The Motor assembly (T1) drives the T1 Roller and the T2 Roller.
The Motor assembly (Main) drives the T3 Roller through the T6 Roller.
The Motor assembly (Eject) drives the T7 Roller through the T10 Roller.
The Motor assembly (Brake) drives the T11 Roller and the T12 Roller.
The Ink Jet Printer assembly (Back) is located between the T8 Roller and the T9 Roller. (Option)
The Imprining Head assembly (Front) is located between the T9 Roller and T10 Roller.
4 The Output Tray unit is a free-fall-type document container.

The scanner unit consists of the CIS Unit assembly. The Motor assembly (Pick) drives the white correction part
of scanner.
6 The separation of the feeder separation unit is released by the Manual Feed Switch. The Manual Feed Switch
moves the Reverse Roller down and the separation is disabled physically. Therefore, documents which cannot
be fed in normal mode are able to be scanned.
