8.3.9 Replacing CIS Unit assembly (Back) (Lower)
Notice:
•
Be sure to remove and attach the parts in accorance with the described procedure.
When removing or attaching forcibly or incompletely, it may cause a malfunction.
(1) Remove the Top Cover, Main Cover (L) / (R), and Side Cover (L) / (R). See “8.1.1 How to remove or attach
the covers”
(2) Pick up the Springs (Floating) 2 on both sides and remove them.
(3) Shift the CIS Unit assembly to the right side in about 2 mm.
(4) Hold both sides of the CIS Unit assembly, rotate the CIS Unit assembly forward, and remove the CIS Unit
assembly upward.
(5) Disconnect the J201 Connector.
(6) Attach the CIS Unit assembly toward the front after connecting the J201 Connector.
When connecting J201 Connector, be sure to insert the J201 Connector securely.
(7) Insert the Spring (Floating) 2 and fix the CIS Unit assembly.
(8) After replacement, run “
6.7.2 Calibration of white level” .

(left/right side), be sure to insert the both
convex A on the frame to the grooves of the SPRING securely.
