(2) Cleaning ink cartridge (Back)
Notice:
•
When you clean, use nonwoven fabric or other material that does not generate much
dust.
•
If fabric or other material remains on the Nozzle Unit, that causes deguration of the
print quarity.
Note:
•
The ink cartridge consists of the Control Unit and the Nozzle Unit. You need to clean each
unit in a different way. If you clean unit in a wrong way, the printing performance may be
deteriorated. Make sure you follow the correct procedure.
•
After you clean cartridge, follow the instruction in " 10.1.2 Imprint Test " to confirm that the
printer works properly.
Unit Cleaning Procedure Remarks
Control
Unit
Wipe the unit off gently using a clean
cloth, cotton swab, or the like. Do not rub the unit with excessive force.
If the unit is wet, wipe it off with a dry cloth, or
the like.
Nozzle
Unit
Gently put a wet clean cloth on the
unit. If you see ink on the cloth, it is
sufficient.
If ink is left on the nozzle unit, wipe
the ink away gently. Do not rub the unit with excessive force.
Wring a cloth tightly before you clean the unit
with it so that it contains just a small amount of
water.
