10-4-4-2 Disinfection
The disinfection procedures described in this section should be routinely performed by medical
personnel, as shown in
Table 10-8 . The information is provided in this manual for reference purposes.
NOTICE
IMPORTANT - To avoid contamination when the system is in use during operations, always
cover the keyboard and the monitor with the OR covers provided for this purpose.
Table 10-8 Routine Disinfection Procedures

Keyboard and Trackball Weekly.
In event of
contamination,
clean immediately
with a 70:30
mixture of isopropyl
alcohol and water. Switch the system off!
Disinfectant with a
70:30 mixture of
isopropyl alcohol and
water.
Never allow liquid to
flow into the keyboard! Use a 70:30
mixture of
isopropyl
alcohol and
water. Staff users/doctors
Monitor display-surface Weekly.
In event of
contamination,
clean immediately
with a 70:30
mixture of isopropyl
alcohol and water. Clean with dry soft,
lint-free cloth.
When contaminated
with blood or other
stains secretions, use a
70:30 mixture of
isopropyl alcohol and
water. Soft,
lint-free cloth.
Disinfect with a
70:30 mixture of
isopropyl
alcohol and
water. Staff users/doctors
Devices' external surfaces
(incl. monitor housing, handle
and SafeLock Cart wheels) Weekly.
In event of
contamination,
clean immediately
with a 70:30
mixture of isopropyl
alcohol and water. Clean the washable
outer surfaces with a
soft, non-abrasive cloth
including the SafeLock
Cart wheels. Do not use
abrasive powder or
strong
chemicals! Use a soft,
non-abrasive
folded cloth or
sponge with a
mild, general
purpose,
non-abrasive
soap and water
