Filling the clutch circuit
Warning
Clutch fluid will damage painted
surfaces if spilled on them. In
addition, it will cause severe injury if
spilled on the skin or into your eyes.
In the event of accidental contact
with skin or eyes, wash the affected
area with abundant running water.
Fill the reservoir (A) with specified
fluid (Sect. C 2) taken from a sealed
container.
Caution
During the next operation, the
fluid level must remain topped up at
all times. The end of the transparent
plastic tubing must remain immersed
in the discharged brake fluid at all
times.
Operate the clutch lever several
times to let the fluid reach all points of
the circuit and expel any air.
Connect the bleeder to the bleed
valve (3).
Note
If you are using a commercial
bleeder, follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
Pump with the bleeder and slacken
the bleed valve (3). Ensure the fluid
level never drops below the
MIN
level.
Repeat the bleeding operation until air
bubbles no longer come out of the
plastic tube connected to the bleed
valve (3).
If you do not have a bleeder available,
connect a length of transparent
plastic tubing to the bleed valve (3) as
outlined in the draining procedure.
Open the bleed valve (3) by
one
fourth of a turn and operate the
clutch lever several times until the
fluid starts coming out of the bleed
valve (3).
Pull the lever fully in and slacken the
bleed valve by at least
one fourth of
a turn.
Allow several seconds and then
release the lever gradually and close
the bleed valve (3).
Caution
Do not release the clutch lever
until the bleed valve has been fully
tightened.

impianto frizione
Attenzione
Il liquido impiegato
nell'impianto frizione, oltre a
danneggiare la vernice, è
dannosissimo a contatto degli occhi o
della pelle; in caso di accidentale
contatto lavare quindi
abbondantemente con acqua
corrente la parte interessata.
Riempire il serbatoio (A) con olio
prescritto (Sez. C 2) prelevato da un
contenitore intatto.
Importante
Mantenere sempre a livello
l'olio dell'impianto durante tutta
l'operazione e lasciare l'estremità del
tubo trasparente sempre immersa nel
liquido scaricato.
Azionare diverse volte la leva frizione
per riempire l'impianto e spurgare
l'aria.
Collegare alla valvola di spurgo (3) lo
spurgatore.
Note
Quando si usa un attrezzo per lo
spurgo della frizione reperibile in
commercio, seguire le istruzioni
d'uso del fabbricante.
Pompare con lo spurgatore e allentare
la valvola di spurgo (3) verificando
sempre che il livello non scenda al di
sotto del
MIN .
Ripetere quest'ultima fase fino a
quando, nel tubo trasparente
collegato alla valvola di spurgo (3),
non appaiono più bolle d'aria.
In caso di indisponibilità dello
spurgatore, collegare alla valvola di
spurgo (3), un tubicino in plastica
trasparente come descritto per lo
scarico.
Aprire la valvola di spurgo (3) di
1/4 di
giro e azionare la leva della frizione
fino a quando inizierà ad uscire fluido
dalla valvola di spurgo (3).
Tirare completamente la leva e poi
allentare la valvola di spurgo di
almeno
1/4 di giro.
Attendere qualche secondo; rilasciare
lentamente la leva e chiudere
contemporaneamente la valvola di
spurgo (3).
Importante
Non rilasciare la leva della
frizione se la valvola non è ben
serrata.
