Smontaggio componenti
cannotto di sterzo
Note
Tutti i componenti che sono
fissati sulla testa e sulla base di
sterzo, compreso i cavi elettrici e le
trasmissioni flessibili, possono
rimanere montati a condizione che
non vadano a interferire con le
operazioni da eseguire.
Allentare la vite (1) che blocca la testa
di sterzo (2) sulla ghiera (3).
Sfilare la testa di sterzo (2).
Con l'attrezzo cod. 88713.1058
allentare la ghiera (3) e svitarla dal
perno di sterzo.
Sfilare dal perno di sterzo l'anello di
tenuta (4), l’anello interno (A) e la
corona di sfere (B) del cuscinetto (
5 )
superiore.
Sfilare dal tubo del telaio la base di
sterzo (9) completa di perno.
Sfilare la corona di sfere (B) del
cuscinetto inferiore (
6 ).
Sul perno rimarrà posizionato l’anello
interno (A) del cuscinetto inferiore (
6 )
e il relativo anello di tenuta (7).
Utilizzare un estrattore universale (del
tipo raffigurato) per rimuovere l’anello
interno (A) e il distanziale (
8 ) dal perno
di sterzo, facendo molta attenzione a
non rovinare la sede.
Importante
Gli anelli di tenuta (4) e (7) e i
cuscinetti ( 5 ) e ( 6 ) rimossi non vanno
più rimontati.
Rimuovere gli anelli esterni (C) dei
cuscinetti dal cannotto utilizzando un
punzone adeguato e facendo molta
attenzione a non rovinare le sedi.

Disassembling the
steering tube
components
Note
All components installed to
steering head and bottom yoke,
including electrical cables and
Bowden cables, may be left in place,
as long as they do not impair the
disassembly procedure.
Loosen the screw (1) securing the
steering head (2) to the ring nut (3).
Lift the steering head (2).
Loosen the ring nut (3) with the tool
no.
88713.1058 and undo from the
steering shaft.
Remove seal (4), bearing inner ring (A)
and ball ring (B) of the top bearing (
5 )
from steering shaft.
Slide bottom yoke (9) and steering
shaft out of frame tube.
Withdraw the ball ring (B) of the
bottom bearing (
6 ).
The inner ring (A) and seal (7) of the
bottom bearing (
6 ) remain on the
steering shaft.
Remove inner ring (A) and spacer ( 8 )
from the steering shaft using an all-
purpose puller (see figure). Do not
damage the seat.
Caution
Do not refit oil seals (4) and (7)
and bearings ( 5 ) and ( 6 ) once they
have been removed. Always fit new
components.
Using a drift, remove the outer
bearing rings (C) from the steering
tube. Proceed with care. Do not
damage the ring seats.
