Connecting to the electricity source
The mass spectrometer requires a separate, grounded electricity source. The
ground connection in the electrical outlet must be common and connected near
the system.
To connect to the electricity source:
Recommendation:
Use a line conditioner or an uninterruptible power supply
(UPS) for optimum long-term input voltage stability.
1. Connect the female end of the power cord to the receptacle on the rear
panel of the mass spectrometer (see the figure on
).
2. Connect the male end of the mass spectrometer power cord to a suitable
200 to 240 V a.c. wall outlet.
Connecting the NanoLockSpray source camera
The NanoLockSpray™ source camera is connected to the workstation PC
through a USB converter.
Warning:
To avoid electrical shock, use the SVT-type power cord in the
United States and HAR-type (or better) in Europe. For information
regarding what cord to use in other countries, contact your local Waters
distributor.
