Connecting the EPC
In addition to a workstation PC or instrument server, the Xevo G2 Tof has an
external EPC with a real-time operating system that provides the real-time,
data-processing required by the analog-digital controller (ADC).
Mass spectrometer rear panel connections to the EPC:
Requirement:
Use shielded network cables with the mass spectrometer to
ensure compliance with FCC limits.
To connect the EPC:
1. Connect one end of the 25-way, EPC cable to the 25-way, D-type
connector on the instrument.
2. Connect the free end of the 25-way, EPC cable to the 25-way COM port
D-type connector on the EPC.
