Final steps
1. Close the vessel door (Figure 5.23). Ensure that the door latch and
the secondary safety latch are secure.
3. Connect process fluid directly to the BPC via disposable or
reusable hoses.
2. Use the touchscreen to start the inflation cycle by touching Inflate
on the PCD Pressure module; or if no PCD is present, touch Start
on the BPC Pressure module to begin inflation.
Note:
Ensure
that the PCD Pressure module is set to Inflate. Touch the top
of module to open the settings and select
Types and units
. If
the PCD pressure type is set to Overlay, tap the field, and touch
Inflate/Deflate
to select it.
3. Partially inflate the BPC until it is fully open, so that you can still
move the BPC vertically inside the vessel. While the BPC is inflating,
periodically check to ensure that no wrinkles or creases are present
in the BPC (Figure 5.24). If you are using the BPC Module touch
Stop
when the BPC is fully inflated.
Note:
Larger vessels will
require a ladder or elevated platform for this step. Always maintain
three points of contact when working on a ladder or elevated
platform.
