Servicing Fan Modules (CRU) and Fan Frames (CRU)
The procedures that you perform at this point depend on how your data is configured. You
might need to partition the drive, create file systems, load data from backups, or have the drive
updated from a RAID configuration.

Servicing Fan Modules (CRU) and Fan Frames (CRU)
This section describes how to service fan modules and fan frames. Fan modules are customer-
replaceable units (CRUs) that do not require you to power off the server. Fan frames are
customer-replaceable units (CRUs) that require you to power off the server. The fan modules
and fan frames are located in the front of the server.

The eight fan modules (FMs) are directly accessible at the front of the server and are arranged
in two stacked rows of four FMs.
