Program Branch MEASURING
5 Program Branch MEASURING
The correct positioning of the transducers is very important and is a pre-condition for
error-free measurements. It guarantees that the sound signal will be received under
optimum conditions and evaluated correctly. Because of the variety of applications and
factors influencing measurement, there can be no standard solution for the positioning of
the transducers. The correct position of the transducers will be influenced by
•
pipe
diameter,
•
linings,
•
wall
thickness,
•
inner
deposits,
•
pipe
material,
•
medium.

M4
The Letter A indicates that the measuring channel A is
activated.
The ‘Sound Path’ is the number of times the
ultrasonic signals transverses in the pipe.
(This
number can be edited, for further explanations see
chapter 5.2.2).
