FLUXUS may be equipped with a maximum of three relay outputs, which operate
independently of each other. The alarm outputs are used:
•
for the output of status information about the ongoing measurement;
•
to (on/off) control pumps, electrical motors or other equipment.
You may allocate one of the following functions to each of the alarm output:
Switching Conditions
Function
Relay switches when ...
Upper limit
... the measured value exceeds the upper limit.
Lower limit
... the measured value falls below the lower limit.
Sign-change
... the flow changes direction.
Quantity limit
... the total limit of flow quantity was reached
(e.g. for batch
operations
)
Error
... no measurement is possible.
No function
Relay does not switch.
Further set-ups for each relay are:
•
the relay holding behaviour (contact holding/non-holding), and
•
the relay status in de-energised condition (contact normally open/closed).
Attention:
When FLUXUS is not measuring, all relay contacts are in their de-energised state,
independent of the programmed function.
You can enable/disable the status display for the relays in program branch SPECIAL
FUNCTIONS
(see chapter 7.7.2)
.
Additionally, with the HotCode method
(see chapter 2.4.4)
you can enable/disable this
functionality:
