Storage Mode
The display will request the selection for the
storage mode:
>SAMPLE< means FLUXUS uses the mo-
mentary measuring value at the time when
the data is being stored for logging and
online-outputs.
>AVERAGE< means the unit will provide a
calculated
mean of measuring values
within a storage interval . FLUXUS uses
this mean value for data logging and online-
output.

Note:
The set storage mode will remain active even after a power failure or a cold start (INIT) has
occurred.
Further explanations
•
The storage mode does not influence the continuously operating process interfaces
(current loop, voltage output, ...).
•
In AVERAGE mode, all primary measuring quantities are mean averaged, i.e. also the
measured temperatures if the respective measuring channel are activated.
•
In case no mean value could be calculated over the complete storage interval, and the
unit is set-up for AVERAGE mode, the mean value for this interval will be marked as
invalid. In the ASCII file with the stored measuring values, ´???´ characters will be
printed for invalid mean values and the associated quantity of measurement, whilst
´?UNDEF´ will appear for invalid temperatures. There will not be an indication of how
many momentary measuring values a valid mean value consists of.
5.4.3 Total Quantity Storage
FLUXUS can either store one value for the currently displayed total quantity counter or
values for both flow directions. In program branch SPECIAL FUNCTIONS, you may set-
up or change the Total Quantity Storage mode
(see chapter 7.7.6)
.
Additionally by using HotCode definition, the Total Quantity Storage can be set-up or
changed and made cold-start resistant.

>ONE< means, FLUXUS will only store the
displayed total value.
>BOTH< will enable storage of both total
quantity counts.
