Heat Quantity Measurement
>[J]< [Wh]
Heat quantity
This display appears.
Confirm
>[J]<
. The heat quantity will be in
J, kJ, MJ.
Confirm
>[Wh]<
. The heat quantity will be
in Wh, kWh, MWh.
However, the heat flow will be output in
Watt units: W, kW, MW.
Installation of the temperature sensors on the pipe
Mount the temperature sensors onto a
clean
pipewall area.
Remove any rust, loose paint, and
insulation in order to get a good thermal
contact between sensor and pipewall.
Apply a film of
thermal conductivity paste
onto the contact surface of the sensors.
Use of tension
strap
•
Cut the tension strap as per pipe circumference. Adjust
slightly before cutting.
(Length of the tape = circumf 70 mm, for
large dia 120 mm)
•
Fasten the temperature sensors onto the pipe using the
cut tension straps.
•
Put the tension strap over the temperature sensor.
•
Lay the free end of the tension strap around the pipe,
guide it through the clasp and tighten the strap by hand.
•
Fasten the tension strap with the help of the two inner
hooks of the clasp. Tighten the screw until the spring
stretches.
•
Repeat the tightening procedure should the tension
become loose again.
(The spring compensates for the heat expansion of
the pipe. Do not use the spring in case of thin pipes or if the medium temperature is
constant.)
Attention!
Cover the temperature measuring point with insulating material in order to minimise
the effect of heat loss through radiation and the influence of the air temperature.
