Measuring Data Transfer to PC
Creating text file '<name>' The ASCII-file <name> is being created.
During connection set-up
(only applicable for MOVEFAST)
Call FLUXUS ... MOVEFAST tries to connect with FLUXUS.
Call FLUXUS ... ok The connection set-up was successful.
(Cancelled via ESC) The connection set-up was interrupted by key <ESC>.
CANNOT DO IT !!'
(program aborted) A connection to FLUXUS could not be established. The
instrument might be switched OFF or is not talking to the
correct serial port.
>> NO READY FROM FLUXUS ! FLUXUS answers incorrectly.
>> UNSPECIFIED ERROR Unspecified error happened during connection set-up.
During data transfer
(only applicable for MOVEFAST)
Receiving data ... Start of data being received.
>> SERIAL ERROR !! A data error occurred during the transfer. This might have
been caused by incorrect hardware-handshaking, or by a faulty
cable or adapter.
TRANSMISSION
INTERRUPTED! TimeOut-error during the serial communication. FLUXUS sends
or receives no characters.
INVALID FLUXUS VERSION Either the FLUXUS firmware and the utility program version are
not compatible, or FLUXUS cannot store measuring values.
ERROR WRITING BINFILE Error writing the binary file.
Out Of Memory The PC has not got enough free memory.
(Cancelled via ESC) Data transfer was interrupted by <ESC> key.
(file is incorrect) FLUXUS could not receive all the data; the binary file is
incorrect or invalid.
During conversion (applicable for MOVEFAST and FLXtoTXT)
Formatting output ... The program is creating the ASCII-file.
BINFILE NOT FOUND FLXtoTXT could not find the specified binary file. (Check
directory path!)
ERROR OPEN BINFILE The binary file could not be opened.
ERROR READING BINFILE Error reading the binary file.
WRONG BINFILE-VERSION The binary file could not be processed because it was created
by an incompatible (old) FLUXUS version.
WARNING: ?BINFILE-VERSION The binary file could not be processed. Internal program
version correction failed.
BINFILE IS INVALID The binary file is corrupted and cannot be converted.
NO MEASURING DATA IN
DEVICE There are no measuring data stored in the unit or in the binary
file.
WARNING: Skip Any Header The PC has not enough free memory. The measuring values
will be transferred but not the parameter records.
SET:#3(277) Example: The 277th measuring value of the third measuring
data set will be output.
When everything is done and
everybody exhausted
(applicable for MOVEFAST and FLXtoTXT)
ok
end. The program has done its job without mistakes.

8.6 Format of the ASCII-File
(1) In the first line of the ASCII-file, the name of the binary file, which is the data source
for the ASCII-file, is transmitted in the following format:
\SOURCE=E:\FLUXUS\DATA\Z4.FLX
(MOVEFAST generates this binary file, FLXtoTXT converts it)
