6.2 Selection of the Quantity and the Unit of
Measurement
There is a choice of the following quantities of measurement available:

Volume flow
•
Mass flow
•
Flow velocity
•
Fluid sound velocity
FLUXUS measures the flow velocity in the pipe directly. FLUXUS calculates the volume
flow by multiplying the flow velocity with the cross-sectional area of the pipe. The mass
flow is calculated by the volume flow with the density of the medium.
