Attention:
Processors 450 MHz and higher automatically set the processor
speeds.
Locate in the table the microprocessor speed and front side bus
speed the microprocessor is rated for, then make sure the
jumper switches are set as shown.
Notes:
a. Visit http://www.ibm.com/netfinity (Server Tech
Library/Configuration Tools or equivalent selection) to
determine which microprocessor upgrade can be used on
your model of Netfinity 3000.
b. For jumper settings for other speed microprocessors, refer to
the label inside the cover of your server.
3. If you receive the error code 167 after you install a new
microprocessor, run the Flash Utility program. Insert the Flash
BIOS Diskette into the primary diskette drive and run the flash
program. Follow the instructions in the program.
For additional information on error code 167, see the description
in the “POST message table” on page 169.
4. After changing configuration switch settings, you must
reconfigure the server. After reassembling the server (see
“Completing the installation” on page 148), use the
Configuration/Setup Utility program to reconfigure the server.
