Working with microprocessors
BIOS Diskette into the primary diskette drive and run the flash
program. Follow the instructions in the program.
Note: If you have not already done so, go to
http://www.ibm.com/pc/support/ on the World Wide
Web and download the appropriate flash update
program. Review the applicable README files, and use
this information to create a Flash BIOS Diskette. Perform
the POST/BIOS (flash) update procedure (see “Remote
Administration” on page 52 for additional information).
For additional information on error code 167, see “POST
message table” on page 169.
10. Because you installed a new microprocessor in your server, you
must reconfigure your server. Follow the procedure described
in “Using the Configuration/Setup Utility program” on page 39.
Refer to your operating-system documentation. You might need
to make changes so that the operating system recognizes the
new microprocessor.
11. If you want to install or remove any other options, do so now.
Otherwise, go to “Completing the installation” on page 148.
