Running the diagnostic test programs
Note: See “Diagnostic test programs” on page 159 for a description
of the diagnostic programs that come with your server.
Attention:
Do not discard the Enhanced Diagnostics CD. Store it in a safe place
for later use.
Make a backup copy of the Enhanced Diagnostics CD information on
a diskette. To do this:
1. Insert the Enhanced Diagnostics CD into the CD-ROM drive and
restart the system.
2. Select Make IBM Diagnostic Diskette from the Enhanced
Diagnostic menu.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen. Use a blank, 3.5-inch,
formatted 2 MB diskette in diskette drive A.
To start the IBM Enhanced Diagnostics using your Enhanced
Diagnostics CD, do the following:
1. Turn off your server and any attached devices.
2. Insert the IBM Enhanced Diagnostics CD into the CD-ROM drive.
3. Turn on all attached devices; then, turn on your server.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
