Check engine oil level.

Service oil sump to proper
level with correct grade of
aviation engine oil.

Reinstall original gauge. Check
engine oil temperature control
valve operation.

Temporarily install a serviceable
oil temperature gauge and
recheck oil temperature

Check engine oil pressure.

Check oil pressure relief
valve operation.

Replace oil temperature
