Section 03 ENGINE

Subsection 07 (MAGNETO/STARTER)

Install the oil seal protector (P/N 529 035 935) on
crankshaft end to avoid damaging oil seal during
installation.

With Magneto Cover Removed

Using the oil seal installer (P/N 529 035 759) and
the handle (P/N 420 877 650), install the oil seal in
its location.

Reinstall other removed parts in the reverse order.

Install magneto cover, refer to

MAGNETO COVER

above.

Without Magneto Cover Removed

Using a suitable tube, with the proper diameter,
install the oil seal as per following illustration.

Test at Voltage Regulator/Rectifier
Input Connector

Remove the starter solenoid cover.

Disconnect the voltage regulator input connector
(three YELLOW wires).
