Use the measured thickness to choose the re-
quired thrust washer as per the following table.

above table.
Install output shaft and output shaft bearing cover.
Install magneto cover. Refer to MAGNE-
TO/STARTER section in this manual for proce-
dure.
GEARBOX
Gearbox Disassembly
Remove engine from vehicle (refer to ENGINE RE-
MOVAL/INSTALLATION section).
NOTE: During gearbox disassembly, inspect the
condition of each part closely.
Remove magneto cover and rotor.
Remove output shaft.
Measure the axial clearance of bevel gear with a
feeler gauge.
NOTE: Bevel gear axial clearance should be mea-
sured before crankcase separation.
