Verify hardware/software requirements
Make sure you know which download procedure to use and that you have all the
hardware and software that is necessary to proceed.

Given the type of target circuit pack to be upgraded, choose an appropriate
source circuit pack from the following table (
). The last column indicates which download method must be used
with the target and chosen source.

Make sure you have the following:

Superuser or services login and password to the Avaya
Communication Manager
■
PC or other server with the following:
— IP connectivity to the source board
— Web browser (Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher or Netscape
4.x)
— IP connectivity to the World Wide Web
— File transfer protocol (FTP) software program
NOTE:
Some GUI-based FTP applications are incompatible with Avaya
Communication Manager. Command-line FTP applications launched from a
DOS prompt or UNIX shell work best.

“Retired - (OLD Do Not Use) DEFINITY Firmware Downloads”, scroll down to the TN2302AP
section and click on TFTP_Firmware_download_procedure.pdf.
