WRITE
After creating or modifying a configuration file, use this function to save it to disk.
You will be prompted to name the file. You may either overwrite an existing file or
create a new file.
DRIVE
The Drive function allows you to select the disk drive and directory path from which
to write to or read back your configuration file(s). Use conventional DOS command
syntax to specify the drive and directory path. To specify the current drive and path,
enter a “.” (period). Refer to your DOS manual for more information on drives and
directories.
NEW
Use this function to create a new configuration file. You will be prompted for the
desired name. If changes have been made to the existing file, you will be asked if you
wish to save it first.
LIST
The List function will create a hardcopy printout of your console configuration on the
PC printer. You will be asked whether to print the key configuration or the system
configuration as described in Section 4.
UPLOAD
Use this function to transfer a previously downloaded console configuration back up
to the CPS program running on your PC. All key definitions, channel configurations,
and system programming that was previously downloaded (except for channel and
auxiliary I/O names) will be transferred back up to the PC. It can then be modified
and saved to disk or downloaded.
PROGRAM
After creating your console configuration or making changes to an existing
configuration, use this function to download the configuration to the console. You
will be prompted to save the file prior to programming the console. If you elect not to
save the file, programming the console can still take place. For a complete discussion
of this procedure, see Section 4.
QUIT
After all programming is completed, you may exit the Model 4010 CPS by selecting
this function. If your changes have not been saved to disk, you will be asked if you
wish to save them before leaving CPS. You may decide to discard all changes and
exit without saving in which case any changes to the existing configuration file will
be lost.
