B. Channel Monitor Configuration
This selection allows the definition of the Private Line Monitor control function to be defined
for each channel. You will be prompted for the previously defined channel number and the
monitor control function to use for that channel.
C. Channel Paging Configuration
The Model 4010 console allows certain paging parameters to be defined on a per-channel
basis. The parameters are in effect only during a page transmission and include:
•
•
•
•
A keyup delay time before the start of the first page transmission after the transmitter
has been keyed up.
A high frequency de-emphasis feature.
An inter-stack delay time between pages.
A unique remote function to be used for paging transmissions only.
See Appendix D, Section D2, Subsection H for a complete description of these features and
how to program them.
D. Paging Format Configuration
Each paging format to be used in the Model 4010 console must have certain parameters
unique to that format defined and must have a leading digit assigned to it. There are 14
leading digits available to be assigned among the nine different paging formats the Model
4010 console is capable of generating (some of which are optional). This allows multiple
variations of the same paging format to be programmed into the Model 4010 by assigning
each one its own unique leading digit. For example, leading digits 3, 4, and 5 might each be
assigned to the DTMF paging format but with a different on/off-timing defined for each of
the three formats.
See Appendix D for a complete description of these features and how to program them.
E. Edit Custom Calls
This selection in the SYSTEM CONFIGURATION menu allows the complete definition of
up to 255 custom two-tone pages (such as Plectron). See Appendix D for a complete
description of this procedure.
F. Input/Output Configuration
This function allows the system Auxiliary Input/Output ports to be configured and defined.
Auxiliary Input Port numbers 9-38 are assigned to the optional Expanded Aux. I/O Card(s)
(Part No. 702-9448) as follows: 9-14 to the first Aux. I/O Card, 15-20 to the second Aux. I/O
Card, etc. This allows the Model 4010 to support up to five Aux. I/O cards (30 ports).
