ANI Destination Address
To set the position’s ANI address, select Destination from the ANI menu.
The Model 4010 has two ANI addresses: a primary and a secondary. Normally the
primary address is used to select a group of consoles, while the secondary address is
used to select an individual console within the group. If only a single console is
involved, the secondary address is not used. For a group call, the primary addresses
should be set the same for all of the consoles in the system.
Enter the primary address by entering up to six DTMF digits in the primary address
field and pressing
ENTER
. Enter the secondary address in the same manner. The
following characters are valid DTMF digits: 0123456789ABCD#*.
The timeout period is the time window between the detection of a valid address and
the last DTMF digit accepted. If the calling unit has automatic ANI calling, 1 or 2
seconds should be sufficient. If the calling unit uses a manual keypad to enter the ANI
address, 5 seconds is the normal timeout. Enter a timeout period between 1 and 10
seconds and press
ENTER
.
Note:
During operation, new ANIs will only be recognized after the time period has
elapsed after the previous ANI.
