CREATING YOUR FIRST CONSOLE CONFIGURATION
The first task in this tutorial is to create a console configuration. First start running CPS as
described in the beginning of this section.
When the program displays the MAIN menu, press the
N
key for New.
The program now prompts you to enter a new system name. Enter a name up to eight
characters and press
ENTER
. Looking at the highlighted status line at the bottom of the
screen, you will note that the system name is now displayed.
Press the
E
key for Edit.
The program will display the EDIT menu (see

To communicate with external devices (base stations, transmitters, etc.), the Model 4010
system needs to know what kind of channels are connected to it. To define these channels,
press the
S
key from the EDIT menu. This selection will cause the SYSTEM
CONFIGURATION menu to be displayed as shown in
