Editing files with Word
2
2.1
Overview
This section describes how text files can be edited using Microsoft Word 2003.
Word 2003 does not edit text files directly.
Instead, it converts them to Word files upon
opening.
During saving Word can then convert the edited
text back into a text file.
We recommend saving an additional version of
the text file as a Word file and using this version
as the basis for future editing.
It is then no longer necessary to open and
convert the file.
