1.1 Methods
Notes:
1. Filter turbid water samples using filter paper and funnel before analysis.
2. Highly buffered water samples or extreme pH values should be adjusted to a pH of
nearly 7 with 1 mol/l Nitric acid or 1 mol/l Sodium hydroxide.
3. Concentration from 10 mg/l Cu causes too high test values if the described reaction
time of 5 minutes is increased. So it is very important to perform the test procedure
continuously.
4. Substances who may interfere when present in concentrations at:
Aluminium
50 mg/l
Chromium
1000 mg/l
Iron
50 mg/l
Nickel
50 mg/l
Nitrite
all levels
