1.1 Methods
Cyanide
with Reagent Test
0.01 – 0.5 mg/l CN
1. Fill a clean vial (24 mm Ø) with 2 ml of the water
sample and 8 ml of deionized water , close tightly
with the cap.
2. Place the vial in the sample chamber making sure that
the marks are aligned.
3. Press ZERO key.
4. Remove the vial from the sample chamber.
5. Add
2 level spoons of No. 4 (grey) Cyanide-11
into the
prepared water sample, close the vial tightly with the cap
and invert the vial several times to mix the contents.
6. Add 2 level spoons of No. 4 (grey) Cyanide-12 , clo-
se the vial tightly with the cap and invert the vial several
times to mix the contents.
7. Fill the vial with the same size drops by holding the
bottle vertically and squeeze slowly:
3 drops of Cyanide-13
8. Close the vial tightly with the cap and invert the vial
several times to mix the contents.
9. Place the vial in the sample chamber making sure that
the marks are aligned.
10. Press TEST key.
Wait for a reaction period of 10 minutes.
After the reaction period is finished the measurement
starts automatically.
The result is shown in the display in mg/l Cyanide.
