Voltage Withstand Test
Use the test card
VWithstand
to measure the voltage withstand capability of the
secondary winding and secondary wiring.
To do so, disconnect the burden. As shown in Figure 6, connect the 2kV output
socket without point to the transformer’s secondary (a) winding connection, and
the output socket marked with a point to earth and the transformer’s primary
connection (N).
Warning
: Be aware that the terminals connected to the transformer’s secondary
connection "a"and "n" lead life-hazardous voltage!

Note:
Some test cards are available in more than one test mode. For
example, the test card
VWithstand
can be selected in CT, VT,
Resistance and Transformer.
This is solely related to usability. With regard to functionality, the test
card
VWithstand
is identical in all test modes.
