Front handle
Step 1. Locate the screw that attaches the handle to the compute node.
Step 2. Using a T15 Torx screwdriver, remove the screw from the front handle and save the screw in a
safe place. Use the same screw when you install a front handle.
If you are instructed to return the front handle, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging
materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
Installing the front handle
Use this information to install the front handle.
Before you install the front handle, complete the following steps:
1. Read “Safety” on page iii and “Installation guidelines” on page 637.
2. If the compute node is installed in an Flex System chassis, remove it (see “Removing a compute node
from a chassis” on page 639 for instructions).
3. Carefully lay the compute node on a flat, static-protective surface with the cover side down, orienting
the compute node with the bezel pointing toward you.
To install the front handle, complete the following steps.

Step 1. Orient the front handle so that the blue release latch is toward the middle of the compute node.
