3.3

Removing/Installing Exterior Cover

3.3.1 Removing/Installing Lower Right Cover

This section describes how to remove/install the lower right cover.

Removal Procedure

1

Pull the tray shutter out of the lower part of the
supply tray.

2

Insert the tray shutter into the slot in the upper
part of the supply tray with the tray shutter's UP
mark on the top surface toward you.

Inserting the tray shutter as far as it will go unlocks and
causes it to pop out several centimeters.

Remove the right cover screws.

Open the front cover.

The front cover will open by pulling its upper part on both
sides.

Caution

Be sure to turn off power and remove the power cable from the electrical outlet before removing
or installing the exterior cover or replacing loading parts.

Caution

•

When replacing loading parts, be sure to
replace with the tray shutter attached.
If some of the film remains on the tray, the
film may be exposed.

•

Take sufficient care when handling the
tray shutter, as it may be impossible to
insert if it becomes deformed due to
rough handling.

•

If you feel any resistance when inserting
the tray shutter, stop the procedure and
refer to

“17.1.7 Pickup malfunction

trouble (Page 17-6)”

to fix the problem.

Caution

Do not push down or place objects on the
opened front cover. Failure to observe this
caution can cause the breakdown.
