Step 8 node (gw-mgcp)[mgcp]#use voip-
profile name
Assigns a VoIP-profile to the MGCP gateway
Step 9 node (gw-mgcp)[mgcp]#no
shutdown
Enables the MGCP gateway. For debug
information on startup refer to section “Debug
MGCP/SCTP/IUA” in this chapter.
Step 10
node (gw-mgcp)[mgcp]#show
gateway mgcp [mgcp]
{configuration | {endpoint name }}
Displays the MGCP gateway configuration or
information about the MGC endpoints
Example: Configure MGCP gatew ay
The following example contains example commands (step by step) for setting up the MGCP
gateway. The default value of max-waiting-delay is fine therefore we don’t change them.

SN(gw-mgcp)[mgcp]# bind interface eth0
SN(gw-mgcp)[mgcp]# codec g723_6k3 30
