Introducing Print Properties
Print properties are the attributes you set to define the way a print job is
processed. For example, the private print and proof print properties
determine how the copier manages your print job.
The printer drivers properties are located on property pages.

Printer Versus Document Print Properties
Some properties are specific to the printing device, while others apply only
to the document being printed. Printer-specific properties include such
options as hardware sharing and port attributes.
Document properties include orientation, duplex mode, watermarks,

document when printed.
Setting Print Properties
There are two ways to set properties:
Through the operating system control panel or Printer folder
Within the application you are printing from
Print properties set in the operating system remain in force until you
change them. By contrast, those properties set within an application
apply to the current document only. When you close the application, the
print properties you set are lost.

the application override any options selected using the operating system.

page setup or similar dialog box. If you choose
Portrait
orientation in page
setup, and
Landscape
orientation through the operating system, the
document prints in
Portrait
orientation.
