Department folder A Document Manager system folder. The administrator can store and
work with documents in the Department folder. Registered and
unregistered users can view and print documents in the Department
folder, but cannot edit them.
Device Refers to the controller connected to a network digital copier. Often,
the term device is used to refer to the entire controller/copier system.
DIN Document Identification Number. A 5-digit code required to release a
private print or proof print job for printing. You must enter this number
at the copier control panel.
Document editor/
organizer Refers to the Document Manager application, which enables you to
store, edit, manage, and print scanned images using a web interface.
Document Profile A pre-defined set of driver settings that allows users to auto-configure
their print job with a click of the mouse.
Document Sticky The paradigm where actons and/or settings for a print job are
assigned for a specific document within a specific application. For
example, if a change is made to the printer settings, it only affects the
current document within the current application. See also, Printer

Duplex The process of printing on both sides of a sheet of paper. For duplex
printing, the copier must have an

Processing System This system consists of the Imagistics im8130/im6530 digital copier
connected to the ipc1-im8130 controller. These systems provide the
convenience of walk-up copying, scanning, and network printing from
the same device.
Event A significant occurrence such as the completion of a print operation.
Finishing unit or
Finisher A copier accessory that provides sort, group, staple, and hole punch
printing and copying options.
ipc1-im8130 The Imagistics controllers used to connect digital copiers to a network.
