The Configuration window opens when you choose the
Configure
option
from the Document Monitor menu.
ipc1 Document Monitor Configuration Dialog Box
In addition to the
Startup
tab, this dialog box provides three configuration
tabs:
Notification:
controls which printing events cause a popup message
or beep. For more information, see
Refresh Rates:
controls how often the Document Monitor searches
for event notifications, printer status, and print queue contents in
order to update the information displayed. Refresh rates are also
known as polling rates. For more information, see
Discovery:
shows the network address associated with each printer.
This dialog box is primarily used for troubleshooting purposes. If
problems arise with the system, find your printer address (included in
the popup error message), and contact your system administrator.

To access the functions, click the appropriate tab. To close the dialog box
without changing settings, click
Cancel
.
Startup Tab
Run the document monitor when starting Windows:
starts ipc1
Document Monitor automatically each time you start Windows.

From the ipc1 Document Monitor main menu, click
Configure...
.

If it does not open, click the
Startup
tab.

Click the check box on the Startup dialog box.

Click
OK
to set the startup option and exit the Configuration window.
The next time you start Windows, the ipc1 Document Monitor icon
appears in the taskbar of your desktop.
