Definitions of Common Terms
Term Definition
ADSC A dobe D ocument S tructuring C onvention. An advanced PostScript
option that lets you print each page of a document as a self-contained
print job.
Booklet mode A feature where each page of a document is printed on a half sheet of
paper, which can then be folded and/or stapled to produce a smaller
booklet/magazine. Booklet mode was previously known as magazine
sort. The controller supports two kinds ofbBooklet mode: left to right
read mode and right to left read mode.
Bypass feeder A paper input unit used to feed single sheets of special paper (such as
envelope, thick paper, or card) for a print job.
Cassette The copier containers for input paper.
Current jobs The list of all print and copy jobs currently queued to the selected
controller. You can view it using either the Printer Utility or the ipc1
Document Monitor application.
