Inserting Sheets from a Windows Workstation
The options sheet insertion unit allows you to insert pages from a
different input cassette within a document. You can use this feature to
insert a different type of paper (colored or card stock, for example)
between the pages of a proposal or manual to create section dividers or
tabs.
You can insert sheets anywhere in your document, and you choose
whether the sheets are blank or printed.
You cannot use sheet insertion in combination with the n-up or booklet
features. Additionally, the collation option must be set to
Collated
.
1 Choose
Print
from the File menu.
2 Click
Properties
.
3 Click the
Paper
properties tab.
4 In the
Secondary Paper
section of the dialog box, select
Insert Paper
.
5 To use paper from the optional Inserter unit, change
Source
to
Inserter
Unit
. The driver displays the Inserter Unit Paper Size dialog box.
6 If you are using paper from the inserter unit, select the paper size.
7 Indicate whether the inserted sheets are printed by selecting one of
the following options from the drop-down list:
„
Blank
: inserts blank sheets.
„
Simplex
: prints on one side of the inserted sheet.
„
Duplex
: prints on both sides of the inserted sheet.
