MtcEvtP Messages
IOPn.MtcEvtP status: The Event Provider found that an event was posted that had more insertion string data than
could fit in the event log packet.
Severity
Warning
Description
This warning occurs when additional information was supplied with a message but the
information could not be placed into a single event log entry. The information is truncated and
logged if possible.
IOPn.MtcEvtP status: The Event Provider has detected a non-response message in the IOP-to-IOP message callback
routine. Releasing resources and continuing.
Severity
Warning
Description
This is an internal error to the Event Provider detected when an unknown Endurance System
Management Service request was processed.
IOPn.MtcEvtP status: The Event Provider has removed event entries from the pending event queue(s) because they
could not be delivered to a component that normally accepts those events.
Severity
Warning
Description
This message usually indicates a temporary condition that prevents the Event Provider from
delivering messages. When this occurs, the Event Provider removes the undeliverable
messages from the message queue. This condition usually occurs when:
•
The CE operating system is down.
•
The Endurance System Management Service on either IOP or the CE is not running.
•
Windows NT (on either IOP or the CE) does not have sufficient resources to log the
message.
Because a message can be logged by multiple components (the CE and both IOPs), a message
that could not be delivered to one component may have been successfully delivered to and
logged by another component.
Hardware/Software
This message is typically generated when Endurance software is unable to deliver an
Endurance message to its intended recipient.
Action
•
To view dropped message statistics, use the Endurance Manager command
IOPn.EventProvider Show Dropped Event Statistics command.
•
To correct this condition, on the component that could not receive messages, use Control
Panel
Services to make sure that the Endurance System Management Service is
running.
•
If necessary, start the Endurance System Management Service.
