IOPn.MtcVnP status: Join response received, but Provider is not in the joining state.
Severity Error
Description An IOP join response was received, but joining is no longer in progress. A previous join may
have timed out, or there is an error in the Virtual Network joining protocol.
Action Contact your service provider for assistance.
IOPn.MtcVnP status: More than one instance of the Virtual Network Provider was installed in the control panel.
Severity Error
Description More than one instance of the Virtual Network Provider was installed in the control panel.
Action Run the Windows NT Control Panel Network application and remove all but one instance of
the Virtual Network Provider from the IOP.
IOPn.MtcVnP status: Timeout waiting for join response from active Virtual Network Provider.
Severity Error
Description During IOP joining, the joining Virtual Network Provider sends a request for state information
to the merging Virtual Network Provider and waits for a response. If a response is not received
within the timeout interval, the joining IOP is not allowed to join the HP NetServer AA server.
IOPn.MtcVnP status: Virtual Network Co-Provider protocol version mismatch.
Severity Error
Description This occurs during IOP joining, when the joining Virtual Network Provider receives a join
response from the merging Virtual Network Provider. It indicates that incompatible versions
of the Virtual Network Provider software are running on the IOPs. The joining IOP is not
allowed to join the HP NetServer AA server.
Action • Use the HP NetServer AA Manager to obtain revision information for MtcVnP on all
IOPs.
• If this message is reported following a software upgrade, reapply the upgrade to the IOPs.
• Contact your service provider for assistance.
