Chapter 13 MtcMon Messages
IOPn.MtcMon status: IOPx initialization failed.
Variables x – the ID of the IOP that failed initialization
Severity Error
Description When an IOP is powered up, it attempts to contact a remote IOP and initialize with it. If the
process does not succeed, this message is generated.

IOP n .MtcMon status: Conflicting IOP IDs have been detected in the
Endurance System. Local IOP ID = x Remote = y
IOP n .MtcMon status: Differences in client lists with IOPs were detected
during IOP initialization.
IOP n .MtcMon status: The master IOP ID could not be determined during IOP
initialization.
IOP n .MtcMon status: IOP x could not be joined because it is configured to
not automatically initialize.

Hardware/Software This message occurs as a result of a software configuration error or a software failure, but in
some cases can also be caused by hardware-related problems.
Action The action you take depends upon the reason for the failure of the IOP initialization process.
