IOPn.MtcMon status: An error occurred activating IOPx on the active CEs.
Variables
x – the ID of the IOP that had an error during activation
Severity
Error
Description
An error occurred while attempting to join an IOP into an Endurance server that has an active
CE. The active IOP was attempting to activate the joining IOP with the CE, and a failure
occurred. A problem has occurred with the ESI between the active CE and the joining IOP.

Hardware/Software
This condition usually indicates a hardware failure in the active CE, the joining IOP, or the ESI
between them.
Action
•
Verify that the ESI is valid and properly connected.
•
Reboot the joining IOP and allow it to rejoin the Endurance server configuration. Refer to
Chapter 9
in
HP NetServer AA Solution Administrator’s Guide
for information about how
to reboot an IOP.
IOPn.MtcMon status: An error occurred loading the thresholding database on the joining IOP. IOP initialization and
joining will be retried.

Description
This message is generated during the IOP joining process that occurs when an IOP starts up.
An unexpected error occurred on the IOP that was joining the Endurance server configuration
when it was loading the thresholding database from the remote IOP.

Hardware/Software
This message indicates a software error.
Action
This message is thresholded when it occurs. If the threshold is not exceeded, the IOP joining
process is retried and is successful in most cases. If the threshold is exceeded, the joining IOP
is marked faulted. This failure occurs as a result of a corruption in the Windows NT Registry
that can be fixed by re-installing Endurance server software.
