IOPn.MtcMon FRU: IOPx <-> CEy interconnect fault.
Variables
x – the ID of the IOP with the interconnect fault
y – the ID of the CE with the interconnect fault
Severity
Error
Description
An unqualified failure has occurred in the communications path between the specified IOP and
CE. The path includes: the IOPx MIC, the CEy MIC, and the cabling between these
components.
Action
•
Check the cabling between the CE and the IOP. Make sure that both ends of each cable are
securely fastened to the appropriate connector.
•
Examine the connection state icons on the Endurance Manager display. Verify that the
MICs are properly connected.
•
Run the MIC Connectivity Test in the MIC BIOS utility to validate that the MIC paths on
the CE and the IOP are functioning properly.
•
If the condition persists:
-
Replace the cable between the CE and IOP MICs to determine if this cable is the source
of the fault.
-
Replace the MIC on the CE and then the MIC on the IOP to determine if either MIC is
the source of the fault.
IOPn.MtcMon FRU: IOPx IOP-IOP Link (IL) netcard capability, cabling, or remote netcard.
Variables
x – the ID of the IOP removed from the Endurance server
Severity
Error
Description
This message is generated when an IOP detects an IL failure that removes the specified IOP
from the Endurance server. This message indicates that an error was detected on the IL (IOP-
to-IOP path) which includes the Ethernet drivers, the network cards, and the cabling between
the two.

Action
•
Examine the event logs on both IOPs to make sure that both IOPs are functioning
properly.
•
Check the IOP-to-IOP Ethernet cabling.
•
Perform any diagnostics available on the network cards to make sure that they are
